We offer a range of services and support including in-home respite, assistance with daily living, help to transition a child home from hospital, home-based crisis or emergency respite, play therapy, palliative respite and end-of-life care. Our vision is to provide ‘care’, ‘comfort’ and ‘joy’ through all of our services so we can make a significant difference to the life of the child, their parents and siblings.
Job Description
Due to growth, we are searching for passionate and committed Support Workers in Perth's Northern Suburbs, including Alkimos and Currambine.
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Personal Care
Seizure management
PEG & NGT Feeding
Social Support
Interactive Playtime
Assisting with Health Care Procedures
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Selection Criteria
Experience of PEG feeding and seizure management
Experience working with children or a clear desire to do so
Willingness to participate in required training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, bother verbal and written
Ability to use initiative, problem solve and seek support if/when required
Willingness to be flexible and adaptive in a changing work environment
Clear understanding of the rights of people with disabilities, inclusion, support, and quality of life
Desirable Selection Criteria
Certificate III in Individual Care or Certificate IV in Disability Care
